Our group of five dined here for dinner and decided to try every dish on the menu. To our delight, each dish was outstanding and incredibly delicious, far exceeding our expectations. The service was exceptional, adding to the overall pleasant experience. While the restaurant is a bit small, making a reservation is advisable. You can't go wrong with any choice from the menu. We absolutely recommend this place!

I grew up in Indonesia and am part Indonesian, despite how white I present. Indonesian food has been a part of my life from day 1. I give this context to really drive my following statement home, MAKAN MAKAN IS THE REAL DEAL! The food immediately takes me back to my childhood and warm memories in my mom's kitchen. While so much on this menu is 'chef's kiss' the star, in my opinion, is the Rendang. Rendang is a dish that has a recipe passed down in my family and I make it myself, so I am extremely picky when judging others because I know how it's supposed to taste. Makan Makan's rendang is exceptional and easily could substitute for my family's recipe. One bite will have you hooked as the flavors explode in your mouth! On top of the cuisine, the owner is so kind and welcoming. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a regular in my partner and I's restaurant rotation now. We just moved here in June and are so thankful to find a piece of home in the heart of Barcelona. Go NOW! Thank me later!

We were here dinner for 2 nights. The first night we have shao mai for starter, iga babi and beef rendang for main. The second night we have lumpia for starter, iga babi and curry laksa for main. For sure, we like their iga babi and curry laksa. Love it. The host is very friendly to us. Superb service. The place is quite small so to be sure to get a table, you should reserve in advance. We definitely will be coming back here if we back in Barcelona.
